At Sunshine Acres, the animals are part of the family! The eggs are collected daily and sold at the Mathews County Farmers Market. Goat milk is used for soap and we have plans to start making cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. Springtime is extremely busy around the farm as baby goats are born, new feathered friends hatch, and various fruits and vegies are planted.

We currently have:

  • 11 adult goats, 2 junior goats, and 6 (adorable) baby goats

  • 60 chickens and 28 chicks

  • 19 ducks and 14 ducklings

  • 4 turkeys and 1 baby turkey
